Relevant Content means Money in the Bank

Wow, is Google good or what.
It’s amazing how relevant their ads can be to the content of a web page, on my Forklift Safety site, the ads always blend in with the theme of the site like ads for safety training companies. On my Trucking and Road Safety site, my job pages show great job ads and compliance software pages show excellent software specific to the trucking industry, it’s great, I couldn’t pick better ads myself.
It’s almost like a person reads through every page as it loads, makes a bunch of notes about the content of the site then compares those words and phrases in their notes with the words and phrases in the notes of a million other people talking to advertisers, then they make a deal on who will buy your ad space and jockey that ad with a bunch of others positioning them where they think they will work best on your page then finish assembling the page.
It all happens pretty quick too. I made some pretty big changes on my Photography site
and When I reloaded the page, a whole different “flavor” of ads appeared that were perfect for the changes that I made.
Considering that there are a couple of other people loading web pages with ads that have to be picked out and sorted at the same time, on top of the fact that Google has to find your relevant page in the first place out of a couple of billion to choose from while a couple other people are making similar requests of Google, Whew. . . does that person reading the page get a lunch break?
Well, I know it’s not that simple, with the algorithms and analytics they use to compile mountains of information in nanoseconds, millions of times a day. What it all boils down to is a money making monster. How many Billions did they make last year?
Google is a friendly money making monster though, almost anybody can tag along with Google and make a pretty good buck if they put some good thought and effort into and by signing up with Adsense. There are lots of free services that can be used for creating and hosting Blogs and Websites so you can start without any cost except your time.
The more time and effort you put into your sites, the richer the content will be and more traffic will gravitate to your site and traffic is where the income comes in!
There are so many factors that can help establish or that can harm your traffic flow that there’s no simple plan for success. Every case will be different depending on the content and quality of the site and subject matter as well as the strategies used to promote it.
With good content, “organic links” will develop naturally and more users will find and return to your page. Google likes those organic links and gives you a little better ranking for having lots of them.
If you want to make money with Adsense, you have to pay attention to what Google likes and what Google doesn’t like and there are definitely some big do’s and don’ts along the way.
But I’ll get to some of them another time.
